Optical Filters for Medical Instrumentation,

Optical filters, available through Glen Spectra are used in a wide range of medical instrumentation. Based on fluorescence diagnostics, filters sets comprising of exicters, emitters and dichroics are available for a huge range of dyes. Using the new spectra system, the spectral properties of each of the standard filters can be viewed to ensure the best option is selected.

Laser based instruments will also use our narrow band filters, as well as "notch" filters that block the laser line. Also of interest to users is the new range of Raman edge filters available to cut out the laser line and transmit the typical Raman spectrum. Filters for laser based systems can be used in a wide range of applications including drug analysis, pathology, and bacterial characterisation.
